The gunmen opened fire on a mosque in Niger State, Nigeria, killing nine believers.

According to foreign news reports, armed men attacked a mosque in Mitchgo Village, Niger State, Nigeria.

Locals reported that the attack caused 16 deaths and several others were kidnapped, but Nigerian police confirmed that the attack caused 9 deaths.

According to reports, there was a shooting at a mosque on Wednesday, and several injured believers are receiving treatment in the hospital.

Local police said that the investigation into the mosque attack is ongoing.
