Government fixed margin on paracetamol medicines for retailers

Islamabad: The federal government has set a margin on paracetamol medicines for retailers.

The Ministry of National Health Services has fixed the margin limit on paracetamol tablets, suspension and syrup which notification has been issued.

According to the notification, the companies will be able to give a margin of up to 15% on Paracetamol to the retailer.

On the other hand, pharmaceutical companies have objected to the notification of the Ministry of National Health Services.

Chairman Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association Mansoor Dilawar says that instead of increasing the price of paracetamol, the government reduced the margin, previously companies were obliged to give a discount margin of at least 15 percent and companies used to give a margin of up to 30 percent to retailers.
