The soldiers of the community of brigades of Vauvert (Gard), reinforced by divers from the gendarmerie of the nautical brigade of Marseillan (Hérault) intervened in the Philippe-Lamour canal, Monday, December 20, 2021 in support of the agents of the company BRL, in charge of the canal. The goal of the operation? Getting out of the vehicles, many in these waters.
Despite freezing temperatures, the operations carried out in Beauvoisin and Vauvert allowed the discovery of five vehicles and several vehicle parts, which have all been removed by an approved convenience store, announces the Gard gendarmerie.
A vehicle could immediately be identified, it was reported stolen. The other vehicles and parts of vehicles are being identified and will be the subject of an expertise to determine their origin and carry out the procedures with the victims and their insurers.

This operation is far from the first and the gendarmes find vehicles submerged each time. As part of the fight for the protection of environmental heritage, a similar operation spread over several days, took place at the beginning of December 2021 in a section of the Philippe-Lamour canal located in the town of Mauguio (Hérault).
