ISLAMABAD (Daily Pakistan Online): Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan could escalate if the world does not pay immediate attention to it.
In a statement regarding the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Afghanistan is in a critical situation, the OIC Foreign Ministers Conference is of immense importance can do.
He said that the Foreign Ministers Conference is very important to draw the world’s attention to Afghanistan, the world should be aware of the ground realities of Afghanistan, Afghan representatives will also present their views in the conference. Shah Mehmood Qureshi warned that It will not be limited, it is in the interest of the world that the situation in Afghanistan does not deteriorate, otherwise the refugees will knock on the doors of Europe for employment.
The Pakistani Foreign Minister said that at present there is no war in Afghanistan, there is a problem of hunger, there is an urgent need to restore the suspended banking system in Afghanistan. Not money, Afghanistan’s own resources are frozen.
