New Delhi: In a primary school in the Indian city of Kanpur, a math teacher used a drill machine on the hand of a 9-year-old boy for not reciting Pahara.
According to the Indian media, the incident of the teacher’s violence against the student took place in the city of Kanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The teacher placed the drill machine on the student’s hand and operated it.
Seeing the situation, the fellow student immediately turned off the switch of the drill machine, with which the drill machine did not damage the bone of the hand, but the student’s hand was badly injured. Fellow students rushed to the hospital with their injured classmate.
The families were also informed who protested in front of the school. On the protest of the students and their families, the education officer suspended the mathematics teacher and formed a three-member inquiry committee.
