Exercises help improve fighting skills of soldiers, says Army Chief


Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the outpost near Chonda in Sialkot, observed the Victory Shield exercises of Gujranwala Corps and said that the exercises help in improving the confidence and coordination of the soldiers and their combat capability.

According to DG ISPR, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the outpost near Chonda area of ​​Sialkot and was received by Corps Commander Gujranwala Lieutenant General Muhammad Amir on his arrival. The Army Chief observed the Victory Shield exercises of Gujranwala Corps.

The Chief of Army Staff was briefed on the planning and operational readiness related to the exercises. He was also briefed on the defensive and offensive aspects of the exercises. The Army Chief expressed satisfaction over the quality of training and professionalism.

Emphasizing on rigorous training, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) said that combat training exercises help in enhancing confidence and harmony and combat capability.

The Chief of Army Staff further said that the exercises enhance the abilities and determination of the soldiers and the exercises play a role in linking modern trends and ideas.
