This Monday, December 13, the Deux Séquoias nursing home in Bourdeilles celebrated its second centenary of the year. Indeed, after Raoul Boussarie, whose establishment celebrated the hundredth anniversary last April 9, it was Irène Morin’s turn to celebrate her century of existence.
Born in Vendée in 1921, Irène got married on May 24, 1944. With her husband they moved to the suburbs of Périgueux, then to Bourdeilles, before buying a property in Grand Brassac, in 1959, and s’ install as farmers.
The children will soon arrive. The elder Hubert was born in 1945, then Michel and Gilles came in 1947 in 1949. Then in 1951, it was Bernard’s turn, in 1956, it was Jacky and finally in 1957, it would be Claude the sixth and last .
Today Irene can be proud of having 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and soon, in February 2022, she will welcome her first great-great-granddaughter.
Today Irene is well and has peaceful and happy days at the Deux Séquoias retirement home in Bourdeilles. The birthday cake, prepared by the structure’s kitchens, was greatly appreciated by the Morin family.
