Domestic foreign exchange reserves increased

KARACHI (Daily Pakistan Online) Reserves in the Central Bank increased to the level of 4 billion 31 million dollars during the last week.

According to the State Bank, on the week ending March 10, the total foreign exchange reserves of the country were recorded at the level of 9 billion 84 million 68 million dollars.

The Central Bank says that during this time, deposits increased by 18 million dollars to 4 billion 31 billion dollars, while the deposits of commercial banks were recorded at the level of 5 billion 52 billion 77 million dollars.

On the other hand, Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says that the paperwork for issuing the second tranche of another 500 million dollars loan with the bank of China has been completed.

In the statement released on social media, it has been said that this installment is part of the rolled over 1 billion 30 million dollars loan, Pakistan had paid this loan to China, the funds will be released to the State Bank of Pakistan soon.
