Islam Abad: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Corps Headquarters Karachi where he was given a detailed briefing on operational matters of formation.
According to ISPR, a briefing was also given on the security situation in the province, especially in Karachi. The Chief of Army Staff expressed satisfaction over the operational readiness of Karachi Corps and internal security measures. The Army Chief appreciated the services and sacrifices of the formation, Sindh Rangers for maintaining law and order.
The Army Chief appreciated the co-ordination of all the partners in the implementation of the Karachi Transformation Plan. The Chief of Army Staff was apprised of the cooperation of the Civil Administration in the implementation of the Karachi Transformation Plan.
It was informed in the briefing that Formation, FWO, NLC, NDMA are playing a key role in the improvement of Karachi. Efforts are underway to improve the infrastructure.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also visited the Sindh Police Headquarters. The Army Chief laid a wreath at the memorial on his arrival at the Police Headquarters. The Army Chief appreciated the important role of Sindh Police in ensuring improvement in the provincial security situation.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also talked to the families of Sindh Police martyrs. The Army Chief paid homage to the immortal sacrifices of the police martyrs and their families. The Army Chief assured the families of the martyrs of all possible support from the Pakistan Army.
Earlier on his arrival in Karachi, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed received the Army Chief.
