Islam Abad: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a total of 68 685 million for energy sector reforms in Pakistan and the provision of basic amenities in five cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Asian Development Bank, the Corona epidemic has slowed down the pace of reforms in Pakistan’s energy sector and will provide 30 300 million to support revolving credit, financial, administrative and technical reforms, including commercial, Domestic, urban and rural consumers will benefit.
According to the ADB, Pakistan will spend 30 300 million on energy sector reforms, while 38 385 million will be spent on clean water supply, health and sanitation in five cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the Asian Development Bank, the 38 385 million approved for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Urban Development Flagship Project includes a 38 380 million loan and a لاکھ 5 million grant.
The money will be used to set up two clean drinking water supply plants in five cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Abbottabad, Kohat, Mardan, Mingora and Peshawar. The implementation will provide basic civic amenities to the 3.5 million population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including new water connections and installation of smart water meters to 1.5 million households.
It should be noted that the Asian Development Bank has already approved 60 603 million for the expansion of the Ehsas program.
