On the occasion of Golden Jubilee of the Senate, State Bank has announced to issue a commemorative coin of Rs.50.
According to Express News, the federal government has authorized the State Bank of Pakistan to issue a commemorative coin of Rs 50. This commemorative coin will be issued from 17 March 2023 at all exchange counters of the field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation.
The year 2023 is the year of the golden jubilee of the senate and accordingly the commemorative coin is being issued, the weight of the coin is 13.5 grams and it consists of copper and nickel metal composition ie (75% copper and 25% nickel).
One side of the coin features a crescent moon and a five-pointed star facing north-west, while the words Islamic Republic of Pakistan are inscribed in Urdu script above the moon and star.
The reverse side of the coin bears the hallmark of Pakistan cent with artistic numerals of 50.
Above this insignia are the words Pakistan Saint Golden Jubilee in Urdu script in a circle, below the insignia of the Senate is the period of Golden Jubilee (1973-2023).
