Want to keep the brain young as you age? So definitely use the internet.

This was revealed in a medical study in America.

A study published in the journal American Geriatrics Society found that internet use can help keep the brains of middle-aged people healthy.

According to research, regular use of the Internet reduces the risk of dementia, a disease that causes mental decline.

During this research, the life habits of more than 18,000 people aged 50 to 65 years were evaluated for 8 years.

All of these individuals were free of dementia at the start of the study, and each individual was asked whether or not they used the Internet for any purpose.

Along with this, it was also observed that how many hours of internet use per day is beneficial for mental health.

The results showed that internet use reduced the risk of dementia, but it required 2 hours or less per day of online activity.

In comparison, using the Internet for 6 to 8 hours per day increased the risk of dementia, but the researchers stressed the need for more research to confirm this.

The New York University School of Public Health study did not clearly identify a link between Internet use and mental health, but the researchers did point to a few possible causes.

He said that online activities may help in maintaining stable brain function, which reduces the risk of dementia and brain aging.

Keep in mind that with age, the brain’s ability to analyze naturally slows down and may face difficulties in remembering things, but a healthy brain does not face such problems.

Exercise, adequate sleep, maintaining a healthy body weight, monitoring blood pressure and blood sugar levels, avoiding smoking and social interaction are considered important to protect against dementia.

Experts said that engaging in new activities on the Internet, such as making Tik Tok videos or others, may protect against dementia.
