Kathmandu: In Nepal’s capital, 14 people were buried in an avalanche while searching for an aphrodisiac herb, leaving 3 dead and 9 injured while 2 are missing.

According to the World News Agency, Yarshagamba (caterpillar fungus), a rare herb found in Nepal’s Karnali province, is used by local people to make sexual potency medicine.

Due to bad weather, the administration had banned tourists and local people from visiting the area. Nevertheless, 14 people from the village were wandering in the foothills of the high mountains in search of herbs when the avalanche hit them.

The rescue team pulled out 3 bodies from the avalanche while 9 injured people have been shifted to a nearby hospital in which one is said to be in a critical condition.
